This is a magical national park and it takes about 10 hours’ drive from the capital city of Kampala. The Park is very close to the border with DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) and is by far an exceptional safari destination to include on your to-do list if you intend to do safaris in Uganda.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was designated in 1991 as a national park expressly to cater for the endangered Mountain Gorillas which number just about 1000 in the whole world. This Park covers about 330 square kms largely featuring a lush Tropical rainforest that hosts diverse wildlife species.
